Ryan Who?
If you have a child aged around 3-10 years old who watches YouTube, chances are you know all about the Ryan ToysReview channel. I know my daughter loves Ryan! So much so that she has requested a Ryan themed birthday party.
Ryan and his family make videos based on toys, games, family fun, science experiments and now his own line of merchandise called Ryan’s World.
Customized Rainbow Hairbows
So far, my daughter’s guest list contains all little girls and since she has entered into a phase where she likes hairbows, I decided that giving away personalized hairbows as part of the party favors would be an excellent idea!
These are perfect to make because they are inexpensive, customizable, fun, easy to do, and they turn out so cute!

Materials Needed to Create ToysReview Rainbow Hair Bows:

- 1.5” sheer rainbow ribbon (I used Celebrate It® brand) cut to 22” strips. I got about 6 bows per 4 yard roll.
- .5” white ribbon cut into 1” pieces
- Alligator hair clips
- 1” wooden buttons
- 1” personalized paper circles for buttons-printed or stickers found in the Meet Ryan book
- Mod Podge
- Paint brush
- Hot glue gun and glue
Gathering supplies

To make these bows extra special, I have created an editable and printable file for $2.99 on my Etsy shop that you can download and print on regular paper to create the personalized bows shown here.
You can also purchase the Meet Ryan book that includes a sticker page you can use as well. Whatever you decide to use, make the buttons prior to starting your bows.
Making the Custom Decorative Buttons for the Toy Review Hairbows
Step 1:
Cut out your 1” customized paper circles that you printed out.
Step 2:
Cover your 1” wooden button with Mod Podge using a paint brush.

Step 3:
Place your paper cut out on top of the Mod Podged button

Step 4:
Cover the top of the paper, now on the button, with a layer of mod podge.
Step 5:
Set aside to dry and move on to making the bows.
Sticker Alternative:
If you would like to just use stickers, no Mod Podge is required, and you can even opt to use plastic buttons if you would prefer. Simply position the sticker of your choice on the button.

Making the Rainbow Toy Review Bows
Step 1:
Take your ribbon and fold it in half and crease the ribbon. You will need to do this to determine the center line.

Step 2:
Take the left edge of your ribbon and loop it up as shown in the picture below and set it down in the marked middle. You can use an alligator hair clip to hold the loop in place if you wish.

Step 3:
Take your ribbon and in a clockwise motion, turn it so the loop is now on the right side.

Step 4:
Repeat step 2 with the other end, which will now also be on the left hand side.
Step 5:
Turn your bow so that it is vertical, and a drop of hot glue to the center of the bow and bring the top loop to the center on top of the glue drop.

Step 6:
Now bring the bottom loop to the center on top of the glue drop.

Step 7:
Now bring the bottom loop to the center on top of the glue drop.

Step 8:
Next, pinch the bow in the center and hot glue the 1” white ribbon around to hold it in place.

Step 9:
Take an alligator hair clip and open it, add hot glue to the underside of the top clip and slid it through the white ribbon. You will want this to be placed at the back side of the bow.

Step 10:
Finally, add hot glue to the center of the white ribbon and place your customized button on top

Ta Da! The Toy Review Rainbow

Now you have a cute bow for your guests! These are a great alternative to candy or a cheap toy that will eventually wind up in the trash. Finding invitations, decorations and party favors can be challenging for the Ryan ToysReview theme, since there is not a whole lot of choices out in the market. In hopes of helping other parents out, I have created invitations and other printable decorations that are now available in my Etsy shop.
